Information

  • You must provide a valid e-mail address when you submit your application. All communication directed from the Admission’s Office to international applicants is conducted via e-mail.
  • You must provide your permanent address in your home country. This information is required even if you currently reside in the Pakistan for foreign student submission of passport is compulsory with valid visa for Pakistan
  • You must provide your current mailing address (if it is not the same as your permanent address). If you are currently outside the Pakistan no address of friend or relative to be submitted as it will delay the processing of your application.
  • The University admits a qualified student without discrimination with regard to race, color, creed, age, religion, gender, national or ethnic origin, marital status, sexual preference, or physical disability.
  • Individuals seeking admission must submit all application requirements. All documents received become the property of MUK and will not be returned to the applicant. 
  • Please make personal copies before you submit a certified copy of your diploma. Do not send the original diploma.

Requirements

Completed MUK application along with Non Refundable Fee in Bank Pay order of Cross Cheque in favor of
The Metropolitan University Karachi Admission Charges Account.

Two recent 2X2” (Passport Size) photos.

  1. Record of prior education: transcripts of all degrees.
  2. Undergraduates: Evidence of completion of high school or equivalency.
  3. Graduate: Evidence of bachelor’s degree.
  4. Identification: NIC for Pakistan National and Foreign Student Copy of passport

Applicants may submit other optional documents for consideration:

      1. Letter(s) of recommendation
      2. Personal essay (200 words or less).
      3. Description of professional work experience.

Policies

  • Admissions are offered on merit to the candidates irrespective of nationality, gender, ethnic background, creed, socio-economic status or any other factor.
    All applicants must go through the entry test and interview process to show their potential for completing their respective programs.
  • An applicant having a foreign qualification is required to provide the equivalence certificate/letter issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen or the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
  • For graduate applicants, if division and CGPA both are mentioned on the Degree/Transcript, only CGPA will be considered as a criterion for admission.

The Student's Admission

  • All potential candidates are required to apply as fresh candidates and take the admission test.

    The evaluation of any course work completed at another institution will be based only on an official transcript and compatibility of the course syllabus.

    The following policies apply to all transfer students:

    • Credit is not accepted for grades lower than a C+ or below 67% marks.
    The general admission test for Bachelor and Master programs is divided into the following sections:
    1. Quantitative Skills
    2. Analytical Skills
    3. English language comprehension and proficiency

    However, candidates for Textile and Fashion Design must appear in the drawing and sketching test.
