About Metropolitan University Karachi (MUK)
Metropolitan University Karachi was established under the MAB Foundation (Muhammad Ayub Brothers Foundation) — an initiative by the sons and daughters of the late Mr. Muhammad Ayub, a respected government contractor renowned for his integrity and contributions to the development of Balochistan for over five decades. The Foundation continues his legacy of service by promoting education and community development through both in-class and online learning. Founded in 2014, Metropolitan University Karachi (MUK) is a dynamic addition to Pakistan’s higher education landscape. Established as an independent private institution, MUK is dedicated to providing comprehensive and quality education in the fields of Business Administration and Computer Science, offering programs from undergraduate to Ph.D. levels. Located in the commercial heart of Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi, the University combines classroom instruction with field-based learning experiences to prepare students for real-world professional challenges.
The Student's Admission
MUK attracts talented students from across Pakistan — from local communities to neighboring provinces — who come together to learn under the guidance of distinguished faculty members and industry professionals. Our educators bring not only academic expertise but also practical corporate experience and personalized career counseling to help students plan their future success. The University is equipped with modern classrooms, state-of-the-art computer laboratories with full internet access, and a well-stocked library featuring an extensive collection of books, journals, and periodicals. In addition, students enjoy access to multiple research libraries to support their academic pursuits.
Our Advance LMS Program
LMS programs are uniquely suited for students who can complete their degrees at a pace that fits their careers and personal schedules. Classes are offered during the day, in the evenings, and on Saturdays, and students may fast-track their course work by taking advantage of the summer quarter. Undergraduate students complete their programs in four years if they enroll on a full-time basis. Graduate students may complete their degrees in two years if they have met pre-program requirements. It is a multi-purpose professional institution and all the key ingredients for student success is in its programs:

Students from Metropolitan University
Waila Afzal, Syeda Shafaq Zehra, M Adnan Shamsi, and Zainab Fatima participated in the International GEE project and successfully submitted their final research report to Chancellor Engr. Muhammad Siraj Khan. Mr. Mashkoor Ahmed (Director Admin), Sir Monis, Sir Raheel, Sir Mehmood and Sir Moiez (Project Supervisor) were also present during the submission.
This year 2024, 1378 students from all over the world participated in this contest. 19 students from Pakistan, out of which 4 students from Metropolitan University were selected.
They successfully developed three different business concept proposals for a profitable venture that addresses a United Nations Sustainable Development goal using limited capital.
Students will enjoy Karachi’s yearlong outdoor living climate, remarkable especially for its sun-drenched winters of endless beauty in which to work, study, and play. A multi-cultural population lives, works, and dreams in the City of the Karachi surrounded by smaller cities, suburbia, and rural Karachi. Live entertainment opportunities are many in the city with proficient and collegiate sports teams, amusement parks with museums, theaters and movie houses, and all kinds of contemporary music groups.
